As many as 30 people are thought to have been killed and many have been left injured in attacks at Brussels International Airport and a metro station at the Belgian capital.
Simultaneous blasts hit Zaventem airport and Maelbeek Metro Station near EU headquarters with an hour of each other.
Islamic state (IS) claimed responsibility behind the attacks in a statement released on the IS-linked Amaq agency.

The entire public transport system and the airport in Brussels are closed, although it has been suggested that the train stations may reopen soon.

The terror alert is at it’s peak and three days of national mourning have been declared.
A CCTV image was uploaded of three suspicious characters, thought to be behind the airport attacks.
Controversial presidential candidate Donald Trump, told Fox News; “I would close up our borders,” he added “We are taking in people without real documentation. We don’t know where they’re from or who they are.”
“We have to be very, very vigilant with who we let into this country,” he added. “Brussels is a great example. Brussels was an absolutely crime-free city, one of the most beautiful cities in the world. And now you look at it and it’s just a disaster.”
Trump, also spoke to ABC’s Good Morning America saying “I would use waterboarding,” “And I would try to expand the laws to go beyond waterboarding.”
Donald Trump also released a tweet saying “Do you all remember how beautiful and safe a place Brussels was. Not anymore, it is from a different world! U.S. must be vigilant and smart!”
