Seth Rogen’s animated ‘masterpiece’ Sausage Party releases Trailer

The first trailer for Seth Rogen’s animated movie “Sausage Party” has been released.

The film is written by Seth Rogen a number of other comedian’s on his team including Evan Goldberg, Kyle Hunter and Ariel Shaffir. It is directed by Greg Tiernan and Conrad Vernon.

The trailer released (R-rated) shows Kristen Wiig as the Bun that Seth Rogen’s frankfurter believe’s he is destined to be with. Both food Characters are seen living in a supermarket called Shopwell’s where everyday food items such as potatoes, vegetables, meat, and prepackaged food  are united by a religion and live under the belief that – humans are their transport to heaven and that if they are selected and leave the store with the human they have been chosen to go to heaven. This is the dream of many of the food characters in the store.

At first glance the film resembles a happy and child friendly story akin to something that would be produced by Disney or Dreamwork’s for kids, however things are not at all what they seem as the trailer shows a morbid  and violently frightening reality that waits the food after they are taken home by the human’s.

The story takes off when seth’s character Frank the sausage decides after a basketful of the main food characters are taken home with a female human and they witness the gruesome  scene’s of an Irish Potato being skinned alive by the human in the kitchen who is preparing dinner.  It is after this event that Frank and co. decide to make an escape the household and return to the supermarket to warn the rest of the store’s food about the grave experience that awaits them.

The film’s release date has been set for August 12, and features a very popular cast including it’s writer Seth Rogen, Kristen Wiig, James Franco, Salma Hayek,  Paul Rudd, Edward Norton, David Krumholts, Bill hater,  Michael Cera, Jonah Hill, and Danny McBride.
